Over here, cars do not have numberplates at the front of the car, to my mind giving the traffic an extremely disreputable feel. Resourceful drivers, however, often use this empty space to tell the world what their favorite team is, where they go to school, or, as shown below, what they believe in (Jesus) or where they'd like to shop (5th Avenue).

The traffic signs are not totally devoid of humour either.
